I did an ear coning yesterday on a girl who had been in pain and whose ears were packed with wax. The procedure seems odd to "Westerners", but is ancient (Tibetan, Chinese, Hopi, etc.). The interesting thing in this case was that adults who watched found it "spooky" while a 10 year old was fascinated, saying, "me next, me next". Hollow ear candles are used with a flame at the top to create a warming vacuum. You have to know what you're doing - but I have never had an adverse reaction in anyone. I have pulled old, dead bugs out of people's ears; had a woman healed of incapacitating vertigo (see Testimonials at http://www.naturalpaths.org/); had a friend's sinus infection relieved...on and on. Allopathy uses water under pressure to evacuate the ears (I had it done when I was 15 - NEVER again, it hurt for weeks, one ear bled, I lost some hearing in that ear and was really frightened). I had a friend in Sedona who made his living doing ear conings...we used to talk about the smell of warm ear wax (it is unique!). A friend's husband looked in her ears with an otiscope before and after I did her ears. He admitted that he saw lots of wax before and it was gone after the ear candles. I guess we each choose our own medicine. Let's make sure we always maintain that option!

Health Food
I have a friend whose neighbors think he is "kooky" because he eats healthy food... how sad is that? What other sort of foods would be acceptable for them? UNhealth food? Why would someone find that reasonable? I am really just puzzled by this. These neighbors have just terrible health issues and are miserable. My friend looks at least 15 years younger than he really is. Works as hard as a teenager (he grew up in the '60's), never has to take pharmaceuticals, keeps his blood pressure low with foods and herbs. Yeah, let's call him weird! Yet, in reality, he is the exception to the "rule" in our society. How sad is that? Good health is the natural condition and our bodies are created from the foods we eat! If we are not feeling as alive and healthy as we want to be - the way to change just might be to feed ourselves differently. A simple, whole foods diet full of life force is easy, nourishing, affordable and delicious. For a really good guide to eating healthy foods to create a great body, order the Natural Diet Guide to Nutrition at www.shop.naturalpaths.org . It's only $5.95 and is immediately sent to your inbox in pdf format.
Enjoy!

Weather
It got really warm for a week and it rained (very wonderful in New Mexico). The wet desert smells are incomparable - chaparral (the Rain Bush), Mesquite and sage. If you have a sprig of chaparral in your car, it will always smell like rain. Then it got cold again this week. But the farmers are irrigating the huge alfalfa fields around me. The water comes from deep wells. In the morning yesterday just as the glow of dawn crept up in the east, you could see great, rolling puffs of steam across the fields! The water from inside the Earth was much warmer than the air outside. It was lovely and weird. Last night the moon was huge and the water in the alfalfa glistened like silver. This is such a cool place to live. The horses experience this and way more each day and each night. They have that relationship with Nature that we wish for.

Horses Heal Us
If you can get you out of the way when you come to your horse, he will show you how to shift your position within the field to a place that supports and nurtures your soul. It's all about how you feel and you empower those feelings and they create your reality and your horse is ready to show you how to feel magnificent.
Compassion not Compulsion
In all of our relationships, the light of integrity is held by Compassion. If we consider something other than our own motives and agendas, we can open to living a real life outside of the world of illusion. With animals, we will establish communication instead of domination. With loved ones, we will share our very souls. With humanity, we will become beacons of reason and unconditional love. We will shift ourselves and those who resonate with Nature to a higher kind of love and life where the demoralizing of others is simply not accepted.
