"Really don't mind if you sit this one out..."

It was strange this morning to walk by the TV on my way to feed the horses and hear old T Rex music (a song about sex) as the theme song for a JC Penney ad... Zepplin on car commercials, weird stuff for me. I grew up going to those concerts (Tull, Alice Cooper, Blue Oyster Cult, Uriah Heep, Yes, on and on) and the memories their songs trigger in me are kind of diluted by pairing them with back to school outfits and posh shoes. What won't we do to sell stuff in these times?

I had sold some digital books from my site and that money was needed for the electric and water bills. A friend was talking about someone he knew who did live porn on her sight and makes thousands of dollars each week. I'm sure she doesn't worry about the bills... but what other worries might she have! Where do we go when we see only that dollar sign as a future. We all need money and lots of it these days, but I am personally confounded when I wake up to an inundation of loud, flashy ads for totally redundant wares and personal care products that make us feel like we were born with no hair color, brown teeth and smelling like rotten fruit... all when I'm just trying to catch a weather report for the day!

Marketing is my weakest attribute and I may never soar to great heights as a businesswoman because I can't find my way around pushing my business in everyone's face day in, day out. Part of that, I'm certain is my distaste for being the target of a salesperson. When I wrote articles a lot, I had to force myself to write opening sentences to my pieces - I don't usually read them - I like to get right to the gist of the article and not waste any time. But that's a problem because most readers want a gentle lead into the facts or details. I did learn to write better and conform, sort of... maybe I can become better at marketing, too.

Horses Heal Us

If you can get you out of the way when you come to your horse, he will show you how to shift your position within the field to a place that supports and nurtures your soul. It's all about how you feel and you empower those feelings and they create your reality and your horse is ready to show you how to feel magnificent.

Compassion not Compulsion

In all of our relationships, the light of integrity is held by Compassion. If we consider something other than our own motives and agendas, we can open to living a real life outside of the world of illusion. With animals, we will establish communication instead of domination. With loved ones, we will share our very souls. With humanity, we will become beacons of reason and unconditional love. We will shift ourselves and those who resonate with Nature to a higher kind of love and life where the demoralizing of others is simply not accepted.
